I am way too corny by nature to come up with something decent here. I guess you could describe me as a displaced virtual scotsman, who is lucky at cards and at love. I have a passion for life, luck, motorcycles, my wife, good food, travel, good friends and findng out what my limits are (not neccessarily in that order).

At the moment, myself and a few colleagues are looking at developing machine learning algorithms which can model muman language. Although we are not explicitly going for the Loebner prize, the Turing test will be one of the measures we are using for the quality of our solution. Machine learning algorithms require a huge amount of training material, and one of our sources is going to be on-line blog/posting sites like LiveJournal. We aren't using anyone's personal information, but if anyone has strong feelings about their postings (definately want us to use them/definately do *not* want us to use them), let me know. I'll also keep the community updated in our progress if there is enough interest.
